Lady Macbeth uses metaphors in her soliloquy, they demonstrate the brutal truth of her intentions. Lady Macbeth says “and fill me from the crown to the toe top-full Of direst cruelty”
She is describing herself as an object that is being filled with cruelty. Next she says “stop the access and passage to remorse” this means she is stopping the feeling of remorse by blocking anyway it can get to her. This large metaphor shows that she has cruel intentions and wishes to not feel guilty about her wicked actions.
