Repeated consonants
In my text message conversation there were many forms of spoken and written language features used. Repeated consonants were on of the most used features. A repeated consonant is when a letter is repeated in a word, for example “surellyyyyy”. This feature is used to add emphasis to that specific word and to replicate what it would sound like if you were speaking it. It helps add meaning to the conversation because it gives the other person more insight as to how it is being said. This is important because meaning can get lost through texting.
